I am rising to the work of a human being.

Where this comes from
Even an emperor found it hard to get out of bed. In his private notebook, about 1,850 years ago, Marcus Aurelius wrote what he told himself on those mornings: there is a day’s work waiting, and doing it is part of being a person.
How you could say it to a five-year-old
“Your bed is so cozy. And your day has swings in it.”
Marcus Aurelius, Meditations 5.1. We put these lines into plain English ourselves, staying close to the original and to public-domain translations.
