If someone shows me I’m wrong, I will gladly change.

Where this comes from
Marcus Aurelius was the most powerful man in the Roman world, and still he wrote in his private notebook that if anyone could show him he was wrong, he would gladly change. He was looking for the truth, he wrote, and the truth never harmed anyone. That was about 1,850 years ago.
How you could say it to a five-year-old
“You love your way. Maybe hers works too? You can say, ‘Let’s try yours!’”
Marcus Aurelius, Meditations 6.21. We put these lines into plain English ourselves, staying close to the original and to public-domain translations.
