If you want to be loved, love.

Where this comes from
Seneca wrote letters to his friend Lucilius nearly 2,000 years ago. In this one, about why even a wise person wants friends, he passes on a line from an older philosopher, Hecato, who called it a love charm made with no potions and no spells.
How you could say it to a five-year-old
“Want a friend at the swings? You can ask, ‘Do you want a turn?’”
Hecato, in Seneca’s Letters 9.6. We put the wording on this poster into plain English ourselves.
