Seneca reimagined as a six-year-old. Every quote is real. Every scene your child will recognise.
Look Inside

Every book opens with a note for parents — real philosophy, real quotes, real conversations.
About This Book
Almost 2,000 years ago, a Roman thinker named Seneca wrote long letters to a younger friend about how to live. Be patient. Choose your friends well. Don't let anger make your decisions. Those letters became some of the most-quoted writing in history, and the ideas in them are exactly the ones you're already trying to teach your children.
The Wise Friend retells fifteen moments from young Seneca's life, each built around a real quote from his letters. A friend who breaks a promise. A small thing that makes him angry. A long afternoon that asks for patience. Every scene is something your child will recognise from their own world.
Each spread pairs a coloring illustration with a story page. Your child colors while you read. The quote at the bottom is for you. The reflection question is for both of you, at bedtime, at the dinner table, or on a quiet afternoon.
This isn't a book that lectures. It's a book that starts conversations.
How It Works
Every spread has two pages. On the left: a real philosopher quote, a short read-aloud story, and one reflection question that turns the page into a conversation between you and your child. On the right: a coloring illustration with bold outlines for little hands. The stories are for your child. The quotes are for you. The questions are for both of you, together.
