When they miss home at a sleepover, you could say

“Fun at Grandma’s, and you still miss your own bed? Home is like that.”

Where this comes from

In Homer’s Odyssey, the goddess Calypso offers Odysseus a life that never ends if he stays on her island. He turns her down, and this is his answer, in a story first told more than 2,500 years ago: every day he longs to go home.

Homer, Odyssey 5.219-220. We put these lines into plain English ourselves, staying close to the original and to public-domain translations.

This line is in the book
