The Calm Emperor · Story 11 of 15

“Accept the things to which fate binds you, and love the people with whom fate brings you together, but do so with all your heart.”
Why this page matters
The kid who pushed at the playground might be having the worst day of their small life. Your child won’t figure that out alone. But they’ll hear it if you say it once: "I wonder what’s going on for them today."
Kids this age can’t read minds yet. But when you say "I wonder what they’re feeling," you’re teaching them to try. One sentence, out loud, is all it takes.
