Gratitude and wonder

Before the day starts racing, there’s a window. Your child already knows how to use it. The bug on the leaf, the sound the door makes, the way the light hits the floor. They don’t need to learn presence. They need you to wait with them.

You don’t have to teach them to notice things. They already do. You just have to stop walking when they stop walking.
